CourtIQ ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Pivot Training. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the CourtIQ mobile app and web application.

Information We Collect

• Account information: Name, email address, and authentication provider (Google, Apple) when you create an account.
• Player profile: Position, skill level, and display name you provide during onboarding.
• Game and performance data: Stats you log during Gametime sessions (points, rebounds, assists, shot locations, etc.).
• Journal entries: Mood, energy, confidence, focus, stress, and sleep quality ratings you voluntarily record.
• Drill sessions: Drill completions, duration, and optional camera-based pose tracking data (processed on-device, not uploaded).
• Calendar data: If you grant Google Calendar access, we read upcoming event titles and times to display basketball-related events. We never modify your calendar.
• Device information: Device type, OS version, and app version for crash reporting.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the CourtIQ app experience
• To generate your personal analytics, heat maps, and coaching insights
• To sync your data across devices via our backend (Supabase)
• To enable parent-child account linking (family features)
• To process subscriptions and promo codes

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored locally on your device and synced to Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use row-level security (RLS) to ensure you can only access your own data. Game film recordings are stored exclusively on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

Camera and Microphone

CourtIQ requests camera access for two features: Game Film recording during Gametime, and AI pose tracking during drills. Microphone access is used alongside the camera for Game Film audio. All camera processing for drills happens on-device using TensorFlow.js. Game Film is saved to your device only — we never upload video to our servers.

• Vercel: Web app hosting

Children's Privacy

CourtIQ is designed for basketball players of all ages. For users under 13, we require parental consent during signup. Parents can link to their child's account to monitor activity.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings. Local data is cleared immediately. Server-side data is deleted within 30 days.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Use the Export feature in the app or contact us directly.
